On May 8, 2022, on the 77th anniversary of the end of World War II, thousands of citizens said "NO" to the war, but said "YES" to the concert organized by the Musicians' Association of Northern Greece and the Panhellenic Music Association at Aristotelous Square. 65 artists and bands gave their presence at the concert. Thousands of citizens sent a resounding "NO" to the war in Ukraine with their presence at the Anti-War Concert today, this afternoon, in the center of Thessaloniki, and specifically at Aristotelous Square. The organizers chose the specific date (8/5) for the concert, because on the same day in 1945, World War II ended. Then, the curtain "rose" with war sirens that sounded for a minute, emphasizing the organizers' opposition to the war that has been taking place in Ukraine recently.
